Three Stones

Recently, #1 has taken to placing some of our garden stones on to the window ledge. He always asks to place three stones on the ledge and then does so.

Stones on the ledge

Not Symmetrical

This is probably my best train set up so far. All pieces used and no funny angles, you can bend the joints a bit to “make” a track fit, but none here!
Now I just need to keep this map handy so I can recreate this when needed.

Peanut Butter

The picture should be quite evident. It started as a quarter of a slice of bread with peanut butter on it. Then #2 got hold of it!

Jazzles

Well, this was a surprise! WW went down the shop to get some toppings for rice crispy cakes. This is what she brought back!

I am just hoping these aren’t the jewels used for vajazzling. It all seems rather wrong to me! Now if I say they are Australian I’m sure that’ll make perfect sense.

Perfect Sunday Morning

It doesn’t get better than this! Apart from an airshow or motor race I guess. This morning I’ve been playing playdoh with #1. It’s great. Later we’ll be making rice crispy cakes with chocolate. Such a shame the weekend has to end.

Cress

Along with the veg patch we are now growing cress in the kitchen. Really looking forward to harvest time.

Toys of the Son Part 18

This is what #1 took to play with at nursery today.

#1 calls this his Jeff Car. He likes the snake on it and it reminds him of the Jeff Corwin programme that we have seen on TV.

Camper Van

Here’s a picture of a VW Camper Van that #1 and I put together yesterday. He’s very proud of what he made.

Still Life Study

Number 1 took this photo. I guess it shows his main interest: Nutella! Perhaps it signifies the path of growing knowledge?

Comparatively Refreshed

Wow! Son #2 just slept well! I feel much better having had about two weeks of him only sleeping for 45 minutes at a time and then waking crying because his teeth hurt. He’s even been awake and crying for a couple of hours in the middle of the night.
Last night he woke at 8:30, 12:30 and 3:30 and then finally at 7! It was, all things considered, relatively normal for a 11 month old.
That means I have had a few chunks of sleep of about three hours each. Brilliant. Having been tired since October 2006 this takes me back to normal levels of sleep deprivation.
Let’s see what tonight brings.

29 April Update
Last night was about the same. #2 only woke 3 times for milk and so once again we had a normal amount of sleep deprivation. I’m feeling almost human.

30 April Update
Back to very disturbed from just disturbed. Every 45 minutes until about 01:00 and then he slept until 6. Back to feeling hungover but without the benefits of having had a great night out.

What the son sees

This is what happens when you give a camera to a three year old. Eldest son took these while we were visiting family. I’m not going to give a commentary this is just what he finds interesting.
