Gloria in Excelsis

Once again I feel so privileged to have been able to spend time at Amport House in Hampshire. I was there helping to deliver a weekend of sessions for cadets who were learning about:

  • Unconscious bias
  • Listening
  • Expressing views
  • Morals and ethics
  • Self perception

This is held at a listed house in the tiny village of Amport. The house and the [grade I listed] gardens really make this weekend a special event. There now follows a few pictures showing how lovely this place is.

I did go to the chapel service on the Sunday morning but there were important reasons which will be discussed in a future Fooyah.net communication.

This Is London Calling

I recently traveled to London for the day. I did plenty of walking along with a few train rides and underground journeys. Not going to say a huge amount about what I saw but here are some of the highlights:

There you are. Some of the classic sights of the city of London and Greater London and the City of Westminster.

Alternate Views

There’s a competition where I work involving the still image. I have entered with one of the following photographs. I have been meaning to take a collection of photos of the place for a number of years. There are certain aspects of the buildings that I find curious and interesting. I think they would make good images if taken from the correct angle. Sneaking in to take these photos has been on my “holiday to-do list” for a number of years but I’ve never got around to it.

Anyway. Here are four shots I took this week. No explanation, just interesting images IMHO.

I took a jaunt out into the local countryside yesterday and it was good.

The weather was cold and slightly misty which made the whole Downs to Medway area look lovely. Here’s a photo over the vineyard looking south.

While running down the Downs I noticed the lovely view of the sun reflecting off the new bridge which I have mentioned a few times within these communications.

There were some lovely scenes where the sun reflected off the river Medway the whole vista was calming and stunning. Later on there were some wisps dangling from the clouds. Now, like most of my photos the thing I am looking at isn’t always the thing that ends up being the focus of the photo. That’s probably what separates me from a proper photographer, that and I used my iPhone!
